Challenge
en.v sought to transform its Resiliency Training Program — a four-module curriculum focused on strengthening leadership and advocacy skills within migrant communities — into a learning experience that was accessible, engaging, and culturally sensitive.
Migrant workers from various regions around the world often face significant obstacles when pursuing job opportunities abroad. Their migration journey is filled with emotional, social, and systemic challenges. This program aimed to equip them with soft skills that enhance resilience, leadership, and adaptability.
The challenge lay in translating complex and sensitive topics such as psychosocial well-being, digital safety, and community organizing into visual formats that could resonate with audiences from diverse educational and cultural backgrounds. The material needed to be equally effective for self-paced learners and workshop facilitators alike — bridging literacy gaps and ensuring message clarity across borders.
Intervention
Blue Hat partnered with en.v to bring the curriculum to life through a series of animated long-format videos — one for each training module. The goal was to turn static educational content into immersive, motion-based learning tools while maintaining fidelity to the program’s inclusive, community-first vision.
Our Role
Developed four animated modules for:
Effective Communication & Negotiation
Digital Security
Leadership
Psychosocial Well-Being
Simplified and visualized complex content while preserving depth and cultural nuance
Maintained visual consistency with the Resiliency Program's branding and design ethos
Created adaptable content that could serve individual learners, group facilitators, and impact for diverse migrant audiences.
Visual Language
Each video was designed within a cohesive motion graphic system inspired by the program’s brand identity — combining geometric patterns, accessible iconography, and warm, human-centered animation. The result was a tone that felt both uplifting and instructive, allowing learners to connect emotionally and intellectually with the material.
✦ Identity & Design Inspiration
Given the diverse backgrounds of the beneficiaries, the visual language was intentionally designed to be inclusive and universally accessible.
The identity system drew inspiration from visual patterns associated with the cultural origins of the migrant communities — notably South-East Asian and African motifs. These elements were artfully blended to reflect themes of diversity, unity, and belonging.
Color choices were vibrant and intentional, symbolizing energy, hope, and cultural richness.
Results
Human-Centered Learning
The animations helped simplify and personalize difficult topics, enhancing the toolkit’s accessibility and impact for diverse migrant audiences.
Scalable Impact
Designed for both solo and group use, the videos supported en.v’s mission of fostering community-wide learning through flexible educational tools.
Advocacy Through Design
By turning content into emotionally resonant visual stories, Blue Hat contributed to a regional effort to strengthen grassroots leadership, promote inclusive engagement, and amplify migrant voices through education.
The final videos were launched on en.v’s YouTube channels and published on their official website — expanding reach, improving accessibility, and ensuring visibility among broader migrant networks.
